  • In 2018, a tomb complex of the Western Zhou dynasty (1,046-771 B.C.) was discovered in Qujiang, Quzhou city. A large number of relics have been unearthed from the tombs, including exquisite jade ware, porcelain, bronzeware and bronze chariots.

In 2021, archeologists reached a consensus that the tomb complex was very likely to be the imperial tombs of the ancient Gumie state.

Dating back over 3,000 years, Gumie was a state located around today‘s central and western Zhejiang province and along the Qujiang River.

The findings are of great significance to understanding the funerary rites and craftsmanship of Gumie.
